100th post!

Hello again! I'm semi-back from my hiatus because I missed blogging so much. Remember this character from my thesis animation I showed in my previous post? Here she is again:

It's not really concept art or anything. I just wanted to draw something for fun, so I did this quick sketch of Cailey, trying to capture some movement in her pose while experimenting a little with the background, textures and colors. It's quite liberating to work this way because I wasn't trying to follow any "rules" in art style or anything, like I usually do which is why I sometimes get frustrated when I draw.

Since I plan to draw my thesis frame by frame digitally, I'm now thinking if I should draw it in Photoshop so I can use textured brushes, or draw it in Flash.

Anybody know a way for me to be able to use textured brushes in Flash? :)

  6. 1) it may not be as complex as photoshop...but you could export the photoshop brush texture as png/jpg image and then use the image as your brush texture in flash

    see link

    OR

    2) you could use the spray paint tool in photoshop to use your png image as fill or brush texture =)
